Summer Reading

Did you know that reading over the summer is a great way to keep students ready for the next grade level?  Reading a variety of materials…like books, magazines, newspapers, menus, online articles, cookbooks, street signs, etc.  can help students practice their reading skills and strategies.  Reading stories from different genres like historical fiction, nonfiction, poetry, realistic fiction, reference books, and  biographies can help students remember and learn new social studies, science, and math concepts.  Follow the links below to our HCPS Library Summer Reading Program and to the Henrico County Public Library Reading Program for information on fun ways to read over summer break.  Have a great, relaxing summer and remember to read at least one book each week!

2019 Field Day

Field Day is Monday, June 10th. Mrs. Kessler needs many volunteers to make field day a success for our students. Please fill out the volunteer section on the “Save the Date” form your child received, and return it to Mrs. Kessler as soon as possible. If you need another form, your child can pick one up in the gym or the front office. The more volunteers we have, the more field day activities we can offer the students. Thank you.
